Who we are

Metro Blaze Blind Athletes of Texas

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas. We work to empower the blind and visually impaired community by encouraging participation in sports for those who may have thought it impossible.

Our goal is to help break down barriers and change perceptions about what people with visual impairments can achieve. We continue to make a positive impact on our community and inspire others to get involved in sports and other activities. Metro Blaze is committed to inspiring the community to find their passion, believe in themselves, and be determined.

We welcome all ages and genders. Come check out our soccer and goalball practices. There is no fee to join us. Please like and follow our Facebook page where schedule updates will be posted, as well as on our website. Unfortunately, as we currently do not have a permanent home, our Facebook page will have the most recent scheduling updates.

Ready to make a difference?

Metro Blaze wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to help blind and visually impaired athletes thrive. Whether it’s guiding players on the soccer field, helping at youth clinics, driving athletes to events, or supporting at tournaments, volunteers are a vital part of our team.
