what we do

  • Six people standing together in an indoor sports facility, some with arms around each other's shoulders, wearing matching black and fiery orange sports jerseys, holding a soccer ball in front of a goal.

    Blind Soccer

Metro Blaze introduces and develops blind soccer for youth and adults with visual impairments, providing access to coaching, equipment, and competitive opportunities at no cost. Through the sport, athletes build confidence, independence, and community while showcasing their abilities on and off the field.

  • Three young men wearing matching goalball jerseys with flames design, numbers 7, 4, and 1, sitting close together with arms around each other and smiling.

    Goalball

Metro Blaze supports blind and visually impaired athletes in playing goalball, a team sport designed specifically for them, by providing coaching, equipment, and opportunities to compete. Through goalball, athletes gain strength, confidence, and a sense of belonging. We offer both men and women teams.

  • A group of children and three adults posing indoors, some holding sports balls, with casual clothing and expressions of excitement and happiness.

    Youth Clinics

Metro Blaze participates in youth clinics that introduce blind and visually impaired athletes to adaptive sports. These clinics give them the chance to learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with a supportive community, all while experiencing the joy of play.

  • Two men wearing orange soccer jerseys with black accents and sunglasses standing outdoors near a tree under a blue canopy, with a woman partially visible on the left holding papers. One man holds a soccerball. Behind them, there are tents and people.

    Community Outreach

Metro Blaze participates in community markets and pop-up events to raise awareness about adaptive sports. These events help us connect with the community, break down stereotypes, and invite more people to join our mission of inclusion.

exciting news!

Metro Blaze has officially expanded to Houston!

We’re thrilled to bring both blind soccer and goalball opportunities to the area and invite anyone interested to join us for upcoming practices. This expansion means more athletes can discover the power of adaptive sports, build community, and compete together.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to West Gray Multi Service Center for generously providing their facility for our Houston practices. Their support makes it possible for Metro Blaze to continue breaking barriers and creating opportunities for blind and visually impaired athletes. Partnerships like these ensure that adaptive sports can grow and thrive in Texas.

Houston, we can’t wait to see you on the court and the field!
